You Move Me – Moving Families to “The Best Places to Live”

Sometimes, you just HAVE to do a little bragging.

Take, for example, your hometown. If you think it’s a fabulous town, you might find yourself proudly extolling its virtues when talking to an out-of-town visitor.

You Move Me confesses to this guilty pleasure, proudly promoting our own hometown of Westfield, Indiana. Our offices are located in this thriving community just 30 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis on highway U.S. 31.

Westfield – It’s a fabulous place to live (but don’t just take OUR word for it!)

Founded in 1834 by Quakers from North Carolina, Westfield is a growing suburb with a small town identity that would charm Norman Rockwell. While it may be labeled as a bedroom community for its much larger neighbor to the south (Indianapolis), the town has its own vibrant downtown identity.

Residents love this community and it’s easy to see why. The cost of living is low, the schools are first-rate, and fine dining and shopping abound. CNN Money Magazine named the City of Westfield one of the top 50 “Best Places to Live” for 2013.

Westfield is the only Indiana community to make the list, which focuses on “America’s Best Small Towns.“ Overall, Westfield ranked fifth in the Midwest and 18th in the nation.

Two “Grand” Westfield attractions

If you like sports, then you will love Westfield.

The Grand Park Events Center, which opened in the summer of 2016, is a centerpiece of the 400-acre Grand Park Sports Campus, one of the largest sporting complexes in the world. The facility features three full-sized professional turf fields, a spectator lounge, retail space, locker facilities, office and meeting space, and administrative offices. It also includes multi-use space for trade shows, live entertainment, conventions and special event programming, including large indoor field sports events in the massive 370,000 square-foot facility. The facility formed a 10-year partnership with the NFL Indianapolis Colts to become the official site of their training camp.

Grand Junction, a new six-acre park in Westfield, Indiana, is primed to become the landmark park of the Midwest.

The park incorporates four key spaces, imaginatively extracted from a singular cube of limestone. They consist of three pavilions: an outdoor performance venue, a café, and a trailhead pavilion at the convergence of several highly utilized bicycle and pedestrian thoroughfares. There’s also a children’s play area defined by the fourth missing piece of the cube. In concert with these pavilions, the park features fountains, a winter ice skating loop, and age-specific child play areas. The plaza area at the northwest quadrant of the park will become a central gathering place for festivals, markets, and other events hosted by the city throughout the year.

As one of the premier Indianapolis moving companies, You Move Me is proud to call Westfield, Indiana home. In addition to our town, we also move lots of people to other great communities like nearby Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and Zionsville.
