What size box should you use?

What size boxes should you use? The rule-of-thumb here is that small, heavy items, such as books, records, canned goods, etc., should go in smaller boxes. Bulkier, but not-so-heavy articles, such as pots and pans, linens, small kitchen appliances, etc., should go in medium boxes. Very bulky, lightweight articles, such as blankets, pillows, toys, large lampshades, shoes, etc., sould go in the largest boxes.

It may be necessary to purchase some of our specialized boxes that will be impossible for you to find elsewhere. This category would include boxes for large pictures and mirrors, dishes, and possibly some large boxes for tall table lamps.

Do not pack any flammables, combustibles, or explosives. The safety of the move is the primary concern. Many movers, including You Move Me cannot transport aerosol spray cans, paint thinner, gasoline, or anything else of a flammable or explosive nature.
