You Move Me Denver sponsors cancer research
You Move Me Denver and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Denver was proud to sponsor last Sunday’s Race for Research 5 K.
Turnout for the race was great, with 875 participants. You Move Me and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? alone had more than 20 uniformed runners at the event.
The Race for Research is put on by the Cancer League of Colorado, and we are active sponsors (and participants!) at many of their events.
Both my wife and I are active runners, and have run many races over the years, from 5K’s to marathons. We ran the race in honour of my mother-in-law, who is in remission from multiple Myeloma.
We love the fact that the Cancer League of Colorado is 100% volunteer run. This means there is no overhead costs with their events, and all funds raised go straight to cancer research.
