Highlighting a charitable 2015
2015 was a big year for You Move Me and, as 2016 kicks off, we are taking a look back at the last twelve months and the amazing work done by our franchise partners. It’s not only the work they do for our customers that makes them a wonderful group, it’s also the outreach they do within their communities and for the various charities with which they work. Here are just a few highlights:
Trees for Families in Need
In early December, You Move Me in Toronto joined forces with the TV show CityLine, to help deliver trees to deserving families in the Toronto area. Designers from CityLine prepared beautifully decorated trees, and the You Move Me team wrapped and transported them to the families, putting smiles on the faces of families just in time for the holidays.

The event is an auction-based gala where designers repurpose old chairs, with proceeds going to Furniture Bank’s efforts to furnish homes for people in need. All up, the 2015 Chair Affair raised $67,000, which equals 268 family homes furnished!
The Sheridan Story
Our You Move Me Twin Cities team joined forces with non-profit The Sheridan Story, an organization committed to closing the weekend food gap when children are not able to participate in the free or reduced meal programs at school. Throughout November and December, the team donated $5.00 for every move completed to The Sheridan Story, all in support of their efforts to end hunger in local communities. Additionally, the team also accepted food donations while on-site for moves.
